Description:
Ke Ala Hele Makalae, "the path that goes along the coast", follows the course of significant events in island history. Learn about this multi-purpose coastal path's historic highlights--from sacred Hawaiian grounds to pineapple canneries. Please join the Society and guest speaker Thomas Noyes of Kauai Path, Inc. for a 6:00 pm potluck reception and a 6:30 pm PowerPoint presentation. Noyes presently works with Kaua‘i Planning & Action Alliance managing projects in Koke‘e and Napali State Parks, and volunteers his services as the General Coordinator for the Friends of Kamalani and Lydgate Park and as the secretary for Kauai Path, Inc.’s board of Directors.

Description:
Meet the four groups from Kauai that represent the "old style" of music we call Backyard Music. Doors open at 4:30pm with fabulous silent auction and entertainment by our own Paul Togioka and his famous slack key guitar. Other local musicians will be part of the entertainment. Authentic Hawaiian luau buffet served at 6:00 p.m. Premier showing on a big screen starts at 7:30pm. DVDs will be available for purchase.
